NORTHERN COUNTIES AND YORKSHIRE & DISTRICT ASSOCIATIONS

Level 3 Certificate in Local Taxation (formerly Technicians Course)

The Northern Counties and Yorkshire Associations will again be running the above course in 2007/08.

The course will run from September to May and the cost of the course be  £625. This includes all material required for the course, but not membership or exam fees.

The courses on offer will compromise of the following,

BENEFIT STREAM

L.A. Framework, Housing Benefit Law

Benefit Administration, Council Tax Law or Fraud

REVENUES STREAM

L.A. Framework, Council Tax Law

Revenues Administration, N.N.D.R. Law.

The course will again be held at Darlington College at Catterick. Last year was the first year of using this venue and it proved to be very popular for both students and tutors.

The draft timetable for the academic year is available on the website.

If you have any members of staff who are interested in attending the course please contact me, either by phone or e.mail. No payment will be required before the course begins but I will need the names of students as soon as possible so that I can manage demand.

Level 1

In addition to running the certificate course we are also looking to run the level 1 full professional course. We are in the early stages of  negotiation with the college and are currently looking for the potential demand for the course.

This may be run on a similar basis to the certificate course, or could be run on a block release basis, ie three weekly blocks with the potential for a residential basis for those who may have to travel some distance.  

If you have any members of staff who are interested could you forward details to me so that I can make a decision as to whether I should continue negotiations with the college.
